Interspecies Communication

I had once a parrot pet called Cheda. He was incredible. Long ago, during my university days, Cheda was my only friend throughout countless sleepless nights when I was preparing for exams. He came very young, and we spent lots of quality time together in my room. I never closed the cage gate so he was as free as possible and used the entire flat to spread his wings. He belonged to an Australian cockatiel parrot breed, or nymphicus hollandicus, what was his real scientific name. Nymphs are very popular for their ability to mimic human speech and, of course for their talent to sing beautifully. Alex the African Grey Parrot* Cheda was no different, and over time he learned a decent amount of words, but what he performed the best was a tune from the movie "The Bridge on the River Kwai" . It was not a simple melody for a parrot, and you had to see his frustration in all those moments when he missed the note - on a numerous occasions I had to pet him and tell him to take it...

DarkNet, Deep Web and Bitcoins

Mwahahaha. Muahahahahahahah. Finally they got me. I tried to defy crossing to the dark side for so long... But I couldn't help myself. Resistance was futile. It always is. As from today, I am proud to announce that I finally joined and opened my first darknet page. Every Yin has its own Yang and today this blog earned its own yang page. Or was it yin page? Hmmm, that's unclear and surely depends on the point of view and in case of the almighty Internet, and its Darknets and Clearnets, what is Yin and what is Yang is not intelligibly comprehensible, especially if you are familiar with internet background and its traffic, packets, sniffing, crawling, protocols, addresses, tcp sources and lots of other technicalities. Anyhow, please behold my first darknet page which you will never find by googling and searching. For all the mainstream sake, it doesn't exist. Even if they find it, I will change the node and the link and go even deeper into the dark shadows of the network where...

The GMO Controversy

I have an old friend who couple of years ago made a decision to radically change his way of life. What he did is almost unreal for the rest of us. He simply stopped eating food we are all familiar with and instead he eats only fruits, vegetables and various grains and nuts. All that in its raw and natural form without any cooking, baking or frying. Of course as a practical man (he is a math teacher in my wife's school) he didn't do this over night and instead used methodical approach so his switch from "ordinary" food to this final stage of the most strict vegetarian diet possible lasted couple of years in order to adapt his organism better and to avoid potential dangers on the way. Contrary to other vegetarians I know he didn't do this because of some illness or because his organism is not capable of digesting meat and thermally processed food. Instead this was an act of free will and strong belief that he is doing a good thing. I strongly admire him for this and...
